Brief introduction of the group |
| SinoBioway Group Co., Ltd was established in 1992, being one of the three industry groups of Peking University. It is mainly engaged in the development of bio-industry and establishment of bio-economic system. Its principal investments involve bio-medicine, bio-agriculture, and bio-service. After about ten years’ hardwork, it has become the most influencing modern bio-industry group in China.

| Now SinoBioway Group has three bases, i.e. Beijing BioCity, Xiamen BioPark, and Guangzhou Liu Xi Wan Bioport, more than ten subsidiary companies, including Beijing SinoVAC Biotech Co., Ltd., Xiamen Bioway Biotech Co.,Ltd., Guangzhou Bioway Biotech Co., Ltd, Bioway TCM Co., Ltd., Sinobiocorp Group Co., Ltd., and etc.. Main products of the group include mouse nerve growth factor for injection (Nobex®), inactivated hepatitis A vaccine (Healive®), combined hepatitis A and B vaccine (Bilive®), split influenza vaccine (Anflu®), and hundreds of formulas of traditional Chinese medicine. The group has established consummate research and development system, which consists of bio-medicine research center, vaccine research center, national center for molecular crop design, biological intelligence research center, bio-economy research center, several research and development platforms, and numerous excellent researchers. The group focuses on the study in bio-economy, bio-medicine (gene drug and polypeptide drug), vaccine for human, modern Chinese medicine, molecular breeding of crops, bio-energy source, and biological intelligence technology. The above studies have obtained a series of important breakthroughs: clinical trial of the first therapeutic drug for nervous trauma in the world-“nerve growth factor” has been completed and it has been put into large-scale production. “SARS viral inactivation vaccine” is the first one in the world to enter clinical trial. Phase II clinical trial of the first “bird flu vaccine for human” in China has been completed. Modern Chinese medicine-“Jiuweirougan Granule”, the phase III clinical trial of which has been completed, is considered the most effective drug for the treatment of liver fibrosis. Analgesic effect of the innovative biological drug-“Hu Wen analgesic peptide”, which has entered Phase I clinical trial, is stronger than that of morphine, with no addiction. Moreover, the group has set up world’s first “bio-economic incubator” and “Guangzhou Liu Xi Wan international bio-economic center”, established a theoretical system for bio-economy, founded recombination pattern for economy by means of biological method, and investigated a notion for bio-industry that fit the realities of China.

SinoBioway Group will take “Invigorating China by means of science and education, serving China by means of industry, strengthening China by means of health” as its supreme notion, “Searching for opportunities in process, solving problems during development, and obtaining benefits during innovation” as thought, “developing national bio-industry” as self-responsibility, “establishing consummate bio-economic system” as its means, and “building up a Chinese flagship that bring victory to the bio-economic age” as its objective. We will take a development road for bio-industry with Chinese characteristics, i.e. “initiating a market by means of a product, developing an enterprise by means of a market, establishing a base by means of an enterprise, pushing an industry by means of a base”. By summarizing experiences and lessons, combining sources and talented men, we will create benefits and miracles, and ultimately contribute our strength for the peaceful rise of the Chinese nation. |
